‘Grounding’ connects us and inspires good health

All life, all beings, all of nature is connected. This feeling of connection is what makes us feel vibrant and alive. It inspires us and allows us to create and express with joy, appreciation and passion. Without it we feel lost and alone. So how can we cultivate a sense of feeling more deeply connected?

Well, a great way to start is through the body and regularly ‘grounding’ ourselves – literally connecting to the earth. When we take off our shoes and stand on the grass, or sit with our hands on the ground we come into direct contact with the earth’s electrons and immediately begin to feel the benefits. Try it for yourself!

The electrons from the earth are absorbed directly into the body through the feet and go on to support specific functions of the body down to the cellular function of the entire body.  We are organisms that live, grow and depend entirely on the earth while we’re alive and yet most of the time we are disconnected and isolated from the earth  by the shoes we wear or the insulated flooring in our homes.

Each of us can choose or not to feel more grounded and connected. We hold the power to awaken our senses and become more aware of the world around us.
