Join us for a relaxing day where you will have the space to relax, reflect, stretch and re-align with your natural energy and creative flow.
The autumn equinox is the perfect time to tune into the frequency of gratitude.
A magical threshold between seasons, it is the time to offer thanks to nature and Mother Earth for the harvest and fullness of summer. Not just the harvest from the fields and orchards but for the fruition in our personal lives. This includes the intentions and projects we may have begun in the spring – the acknowledgement and celebration of personal transformation.
Our day together will include:
• Space to acknowledge your healing journey, personal transformation and achievements
• Relax deeply and re-align with your higher self as you lie or sit back with a sound bath and the gongs
• Yoga and breathing with Sookhi to stretch and relax your body and soothe your mind
• Fresh air and time in Nature to tune into the natural rhythm of the changing season
• Feasting together! Bring some food for a shared lunch
• Enjoy the gift of imagination and relax with a traditional story re-told in the oral tradition
Alexandra Simson is the founder of Sound-Well, an holistic service that aims to relax and inspire the natural flow of energy, and well being that exists within us all through the magic of healing sound and traditional storytelling.
Sookhi has been deep diving into the world of Yoga for more than a decade. She completed her yearlong Yoga diploma at the renowned school of Kaivalyadham, in Pune, India in 2012, and she still continues to enrol on course after course, enhancing her techniques. As her skills are constantly developing, she incorporates the latest cutting edge findings in health and wellbeing.
The sessions which Sookhi leads, not only focus on the physical aspect, they also provide tools and techniques to manage one’s emotional and mental layers as well. Her style includes embodiment meditations & breathing exercises (Pranayama), combined with a gentle physical asana routine to nourish the body mind system; all helping one combat stress and feel soothed after each session.
She is very much looking forward to meeting and sharing her Yoga style with everyone at the Gables, for the Equinox retreat. If you have any queries re the Yoga, Sookhi can be contacted on sookhi@protonmail.com.

Alex has a warm and grounding presence that made me feel I was right where I needed to be, in safe and considerate hands. I instantly began to relax and unwind. Her facilitation of the group felt secure, skilful, beautifully natural and full of heart. What a combo! In that glorious container I found myself letting go more and more across the day, and not having to worry about a thing. The storytelling in the afternoon was an unexpectedly nourishing experience, and the gong bath took me to an expanded yet integrated and balanced place I truly did not see coming. I was genuinely blown away, and got much more from the retreat than I was expecting to.
Alexandra is a highly experienced, sensitive and intuitive practitioner. We had never experienced a gong bath before and this was an amazing day. We came away feeling completely relaxed and “in tune”. It is extremely healing and beautiful and we would recommend it to anyone, for any reason.
Simply wonderful. The feeling in the room was open minded, calm and beautiful. I loved your storytelling! I loved watching the characters you create and the meaning to the stories. To end with a gong bath was perfect. I always love your gong baths and never have the same experience twice. This leaves me a blank canvas every time to let my mind create it's own journey. Most importantly, you are simply wonderful at what you do. To be with someone who is completely real, open and so so gifted at what they do is such a blessing. Thank you.
